Dear Jackie,
This morning was my first official weigh in with your book. I decided to keep the same day that I have been weighing in, Monday. I'll also remind you that I did not start my jump start with your book until Thursday, and I had an increase in bad food as well as adding the particular foods and supplements that you asked. Well lady, you're onto something; I am down 3 MORE POUNDS! Very surprised as the weeks before I was only losing one pound at a time. Big picture, I'm down 10 pounds in 4 weeks. Can't wait to see how the next week shapes up with being on your plan the whole week!

Dear Jackie,
I ended up being quite frustrated with myself by the end of the day yesterday, because I had eaten a lot of junk. I did, however, make sure to add everything to my eating that you require for the Jump Start. Except, of course, for the whey protein shake. But we've been over that... I'm torn because I know that with the first two weeks of your plan, I am only supposed to add your foods and supplements and not worry about taking away what I currently eat. But I spent three weeks focusing on better eating. You would think this would be good for me, right? Wrong. I have found myself eating a hershey kiss here and there, or the popcorn at the movies last night, and justifying myself by saying I was only supposed to ADD your foods, not skip directly to clean eating. But I have to admit, I will be disappointed at weigh in on Monday if I've gained back even a pound from the 7 I lost prior to your book. This morning went well though, I pulled the leftover pancakes out of my parents fridge and was going to warm them up when I realized that if I had the pancakes, I didn't know where I would fit in the one cup of oatmeal and 2 eggs. So into the fridge when the pancakes and out came 6 eggs (I make them ahead of time and warm them in the microwave when it's time to eat them) and the blueberries to put in my oatmeal. By 8:30 I had the oatmeal, supplements, and one serving of fruit out of the way. It's going to be a process, but I'll get there!

Jump Start
Dear Jackie,
I love your book! I read straight through the first 5 chapters, taking notes and flagging different pieces of information along the way. For the first time I really started to understand what our bodies do with the food we eat, and how it affects us. Everything was so easy to understand! I really feel like I can be successful if I follow your plan, and I’m very excited to see what the results are. I started the jump start 2 weeks yesterday, and was able to follow almost exactly what you said. I added my cup of oatmeal, 2 eggs, vegetables, 2 fruits, and supplements to my eating for the day. I’m still missing one of the supplements because the health food store was out of the pill form, but I’ll find it this weekend.
Unfortunately, I have only one thing to say about the jump start phase. I will NOT be drinking your whey protein shakes. That stuff is foul, unnatural, and almost made me throw up when I attempted to drink it. Even chocolate flavoring could not mask the ugliness that is that drink. Hope my body gets enough detox and nutrients from the improved eating and all the supplements!
